Kiva is a not-for-profit organization that provides lending capabilities for various people around the world. Users are able to read detailed information about those who need to borrow money and this application enables the lenders to make an investment while also feeling good about their actions. By helping people achieve various goals including alleviating poverty, providing opportunity for entrepreneurship and many more useful applications, lenders are able to contribute to their communities and the world at large. The Kiva application is a micro lending website and small amounts of money can be borrowed including amounts that are seemingly as little as $25. Payment schedules can be set up where borrowers can repay their loans.
